Foundation

The CAMERATA BERN Foundation’s purpose is to “support and foster musical life in the city and region of Bern, in Switzerland, and abroad, especially through the operations of CAMERATA BERN as a qualified chamber ensemble and through the organisation of public concerts and other musical events, also in collaboration with other musicians, ensembles and related institutions.”

The Foundation provides sustainable funding for the artistic activities of CAMERATA BERN and helps to secure its future. By order of 22 April 2010, retroactive to 18 September 2008, the cantonal tax authorities granted CAMERATA BERN tax-exempt status due to its non-profit character.

Sustainability policy

We are actively committed to environmental sustainability and strive to continuously reduce our environmental impact. Our measures include specifically encouraging our audiences to travel by public transport and incentivising our musicians to choose environmentally friendly travel options such as travelling by train. We also make sure that we use the most environmentally friendly travel options possible when on tour. With regard to print, we work with ClimatePartner to realise climate-friendly print products and transparently compensate for CO₂ emissions.
