About the programme

"Young living composers such as Gabriella Smith or Jonny Greenwood, juxtaposing the music with colours and textures, speak to our ears and hearts as greatly as Bach and Haendel. Even though Bach and Handel are talking to us from the past, they remain so beloved and so favourite to many of us.

This programme is a journey through time, colours and textures. That’s what inspired me when putting together the programme: the complexity of counterpoint and voice leading (Bach), the warm sentiment (Handel), the musical originality (Smith) and the generosity of ideas (Greenwood)."
